In the video clip, Mr. Khai had a very heavy meal: two plates of chicken chop and grilled fish. He also had a can of soft drinks. The human body needs food to grow. The digestive system breaks food down into particles so tiny that blood can take nourishment to all parts of the body. The human digestive system needs about two to three hours for the food to be digested. In Mr. Khai’s case, he did not give his body enough time to break down the food. That is the start of his problems.

In the gym, he drinks more water and he does not warm up. Warming up dilates the blood vessels and lowers the stress on one’s heart. This is where the circulatory system integrates with the digestive system to carry digested nutrients to the cells in our body and to bring oxygen to the cells to release energy. Mr. Khai could have also exercised with lighter weights.

The circulatory system works with the digestive system. The capillaries in the intestine carry the digested food into our circulatory system. The respiratory system also works together with the other systems. The cells in the body use the oxygen to combine with digested food, producing energy and giving off carbon dioxide. The human body system is after all, a system. It needs to work well with one another.

  1. Your group has organised your answers in a systematic way that was well thought out. Your group posted a relevant diagram . However, it would have been better if your group had connected the diagram with your answers. There were relevant and refreshing bits of information in your group's answers.
